SGIAN DUBH, the gaelic for 'Black Dagger
This was a concealed weapon only to be exihbited out of courtesy to a
host, usually worn in the sock where it would be seen.
Types of Sgian Dubh
Dress: Black patterned body, metal blade with stone or detail top.
Pewter, gold or solid silver finish.
False: All plastic without a blade.
Staghorn: Imitation with leather sheath and metal blade. Stone or Celtic
design top.
